Columbia, South Carolina

Web design in Columbia, SC.

Custom websites for Midlands businesses, churches, and practices. Built from scratch, launched in days, and handed over by the person who built it.

Why Local

You can meet the person building it.

Most of what gets sold to small businesses in Columbia is one of two things. Either a $99-a-month template from a national company whose support line is in another time zone, or a nine-month agency engagement priced like a car. Both leave you with a site you can't change and nobody to call.

I'm one person in Columbia who builds the whole thing, start to finish. You get a fixed price before work starts, a site live in days rather than quarters, and the same phone number after launch that you had before it.

Twenty years of this, more than fifty sites launched, and a client list that runs from a four-campus church network to a GPS monitoring company covering all 46 South Carolina counties.

Who I Build For

Four kinds of Columbia organization, four different problems.

01

Local service businesses

HVAC, legal, contracting, transport. The visitor is on a phone, mid-problem, and deciding in about eight seconds whether you're real. Service area, credentials, and a tap-to-call number come before anything decorative.

02

Churches and ministries

A first-time visitor wants three things: where you meet, when, and what happens when they walk in. Everything else — giving, media, campuses, small groups — connects to the tools your staff already run on so nobody has to maintain two systems.

03

Medical and dental practices

Patients arrive anxious and looking for reassurance. Clear services, honest location and parking detail, and booking that works on a phone, built on a structure that reads correctly to local search.

04

Nonprofits and foundations

Donors give when the ask is frictionless and the organization looks as serious as its mission. Giving flows, events, and reporting that don't need a separate microsite bolted on every year.

The Process

Fast. Clear. Done right.

  1. We talk.

Tell me what your business needs. No jargon, no pitch. Just a real conversation about what will actually work for you.

  2. We build.

Full design, development, and integrations. You're in the loop at every step with clear checkpoints and no surprises.

  3. You launch.

Live in 7–21 days, on brand, on time. No disappearing acts. I'm here after launch too.

Straight Answers

What Columbia clients ask before they hire me.

Do you actually meet in person, or is this all email?

In person, if you want it. I'm in Columbia, so a first conversation over coffee downtown or at your office is normal and it's free. Some clients prefer to do the whole thing over email and a couple of calls, and that works too. What I won't do is disappear behind a ticket system.

How fast can a Columbia business get a site live?

Seven days for a straightforward brochure or local service site, assuming you can get me your content and photos in the first couple of days. Larger builds with booking, payments, or a member area run 14 to 21 days. The thing that slows projects down is almost never the build, it is waiting on copy and images.

Do you only work with Columbia clients?

No. Client work runs across South Carolina and into North Carolina and Georgia, and some of it is fully remote. Being local just means you can meet me, point at the building, and know who is picking up the phone.

Will my site rank when someone searches for my service in Columbia?

Here is the honest version. I build the foundation that makes ranking possible: fast pages, clean structure, proper titles and headings, schema markup, a real sitemap, and a Google Business Profile set up correctly. That reliably wins you the searches where somebody is already looking for a business like yours nearby. What I will not do is promise a number one spot for a competitive term, because nobody can, and anyone who does is selling you something.

Do you build on WordPress?

Only when there's a reason to. A lot of Columbia small businesses are paying for hosting, a page builder license, and a maintenance plan to run a site that would be faster and cheaper as a static build. I moved my own site off WordPress for that reason. If you need constant self-service editing, WordPress or a headless CMS is the right call and I'll say so.

What does it cost?

Packages start at $1,200 and are listed on the pricing page with what each one includes. You get a fixed number before work starts. No hourly surprises, no discovery-phase invoice before you know the price.
